Description: Gather your family and friends and join us for an in-person event all about fishing.  Trout Stocking will take place at 11 am.  DEEP's Fish with CARE Program will provide bait, loaner fishing gear, and expert fishing instruction from staff and volunteer fishing coaches.  Many DEEP partners as well as other outside partners will be joining us.

NCLI Kids to Parks Day                                             Saturday May 17, 2025          Stratton Brook State Park in Simsbury, CT                      10 am to 2 pm

Description:  Gather your kids, family and friends and join us on this National Day of outdoor play!  CT State Parks and the NCLI Program are hosting this Free, family-friendly event.  No registration is required. The event will take place rain or shine.  Join us for a day out in the park with outdoor field games, board games, nature arts & crafts, bubble making, chalk drawing, make friendship bracelets, visit the Stratton Brook Nature Center, learn about wildlife, meet CT Horse Council members horses, learn how to cast a line with Fish with CARE, and do an activity with the Simsbury librarians.  An ice cream truck will be visiting the park between 11 am and 1 pm.  All forms of payment are accepted.
