Technical High Schools - Hartford Region
Connecticut Technical Education and Career System (CTECS) technical high schools provide students in Grades 9-12 with the opportunity to master skills in career and technology programs while earning a high school diploma, as well as business and industry credentials.
Technical high schools combine core academics with career and technical education to prepare students for immediate employment, apprenticeship programs, college and career opportunities.
The RSCO on-line application offers students entering grade 9 the opportunity to apply to the following three Hartford Region Technical High Schools as a group:
- A.I. Prince Technical High School, Hartford
- E.C. Goodwin Technical High School, New Britain
- Howell Cheney Technical High School, Manchester

Connecticut residents with children entering grade 9 that live in Hartford and non-Hartford towns.
How many technical high schools may I select on my child's application?
Applicants must select all three Hartford Region Technical High Schools as a region and rank the schools in order of preference.
How does my child get to school?
Transportation is provided, but services may vary depending upon student’s residence. Please reference the Transportation Information document below or contact the RSCO Transportation Office by email, phone, or website.
